Top Competition

The Top Competition stirrup is the result of development conducted alongside the best Italian riders and equestrians. Thanks to their valuable feedback, this stirrup has been designed to meet the demands of the most challenging competitions.

The frame of the Top Competition has been reinforced to ensure a stronger and more durable structure, capable of withstanding the highest stresses.

30% recessed footplate

The Top Competition stirrups feature a 30% footplate recess. This improvement not only guarantees greater grip but also enhances control over the horse. This modification allows for:

  • Increased support surface: the footplate is wider by 12.5 mm. A larger foot support area improves the stability and comfort for the rider.
  • Increased rigidity
  • Easier recovery: the recessed footplate facilitates the recovery of the stirrup in case of loss during competitions or training.

3 types of footplate

The footplate of the Top Competition stirrups can be:

  • Curved footplate: Concavely shaped to provide greater and more comfortable lateral support, ensuring better foot control.
  • Flat footplate: Classic design with uniform height on all sides, ideal for those who prefer a more traditional base.
  • Inclined footplate: This footplate stands out from competitors with it’s two inclined planes, connected by a radius. Unlike traditional inclined footplatees, where the inclination loses grip at the back, the Tijey footplate offers grip across the entire surface. This ensures effective grip both at the back (where pressure is applied with the heel) and the front, for optimal control in the saddle.

Three Anchor Points

The arch and frame have been optimized with the addition of a third anchoring point (from 2 to 3), which ensures 40% greater rigidity compared to the Tech Competition version.

Anti-Vibration Plate

The plate maintains the same geometry but offers enhanced anti-vibration functionality thanks to the use of new materials, specifically Teflon.

Tech Competition

The Tech Competition stirrup features a 30% recessed footplate compared to traditional models and superior robustness. The Tech is distinguished by it's increased attachment points and reinforced frame, both in thickness and durability. These improvements allow for more attachment points, enhancing stability and safety - essential elements for the most demanding competitions.

The Tech stirrup is the result of Tijey's technological revamp, which has implemented innovative solutions from both a functional and aesthetic standpoint. While the design of the stirrup remains modern and appealing, it is important to note that, unlike other stirrups, the Tech features exposed screws, contributing to a more technical and original appearance.

30% recessed footplate

The Tech Competition stirrups feature a 30% recessed footplate, an improvement that not only ensures greater grip but also superior control over the horse. This feature allows for:

  • A footplate that is 12.5 mm wider, providing a more comfortable footrest area, which enhances stability.
  • Faster retrieval of the stirrup in case of loss during a competition or training.

3 Types of footplate

The footplate of Tijey stirrups can be chosen from:

  • Curved footplate: With a concave shape, it provides a wider and more comfortable lateral support, ideal for those seeking greater control over their foot.
  • Flat footplate: Traditional style with uniform height on all sides, perfect for those who prefer a classic and stable design.
  • Inclined Planes footplate: Unlike competitors that offer inclined footplates with reduced grip at the back, the Tijey footplate is shaped with two opposing inclined planes, connected by a radius. This design ensures complete grip across the entire surface: both at the back, where the heel exerts pressure, and at the front, providing conconsistent grip and greater control during use for a correct riding position.
